Compound
The compound is usually made by 2 kinds of resin or by the mix of 1 resin with some fillings and additives.
This technique allows to add color or other extra functionality to the regular resin. For example, to increase the conductivity, some conductive carbon can be added to the material.
As the resin can be mix with a lot of types of other resin, fillings or additives, it takes a lo of expertise and experience to derive into the ideal mixing condition for each combination. This is why, the mixing technique itself is also very important.
These compounds are nowadays used at products such as home electronics, office equipment, automobile parts, industrial parts, packaging materials, containers, etc.
